submitted by Kylie S. - |Recommended: YesI’m sad we left — My husbands I experience here at Sterling Heights has been nothing but short of amazing, from having a beautiful updated home, amazing maintenance team a staff that is not only knowledgeable but a staff who is always loving caring while always welcoming you with open arms. I’m sad we had to leave but it was time for our family to buy a home as we have grown out of the apartment style Melinda is AMAZING manager who knows exactly what she is doing when it comes to property management but also is always taking pride in her work to provide the best service to her residents. So thank you to Sterling Heights who has been amazing space for our family to grow the last 2 years, keep up the great work

submitted by Monique A. - |Recommended: YesI like the fact that the property is gated however the gate remains opened at least twice a month. — To future tenants, I would highly recommend getting a parking stall, check the unit above, beside and under for any NOISE levels that could possible affect their unit. I would inform new tenants to make sure that all items in their units are checked out and reported for any uncompleted work in unit and keep reporting any items that still have not been addressed.

submitted by Bailey B. - |Recommended: YesThe property is fine, less pleased with billing department. — I like the location quite a bit. The parking isn't great, but that's to be expected at an apartment complex like this. I can definitely hear my neighbors upstairs moving around and playing, they have a small child. It also occasionally smells like weed which is a bummer, but again to be expected here. I love the fact that trash service is almost daily, that is super convenient. All of this is great but just getting set up in the apartment has not been easy. We were locked out of payments online for a while, my roommate still can't login so I had to pay the rent this month. The charges on the account don't make a ton of sense, either. I know the office is short staffed and we are in the middle of a global pandemic so I'm really trying to be patient. It's very difficult to get ahold of someone that can actually answer account questions in a helpful way, and it seems like we talk to a new person each time who doesn't actually know the situation. Hopefully this can be resolved soon. Otherwise, great apartment.

Office staff maintenance are warm and professional — Safe gated complex, has great amenities, mail room for deliveries, well maintained grounds. Office staff are very inviting and professional while the maintenance staff have responded immediately when needed.

submitted by James M. - |Recommended: YesVery nice — We are used to being homeowners, so apartment living is new to us. The first six months have been just fine, no problems. Due to COVID-19 we haven't been able to use the pool, and thats a bummer, but not the complexes fault. Any minor problems we have had have been addressed quickly. The cabinetry is pretty cheap, but that is about the only complaint I can think of.

submitted by Sheri F. - |Recommended: YesGreat Property prior to Covid — I love living here. The staff has always been friendly. Due to Covid it has been hard to reach the office staff. The common stair wells should be powerwashed more often. They just did this and I have lived her 13 months. Due to the dryer vents this tends to dirty up the outside. I loved that they powerwashed it and would love to see this happen more often.

submitted by Malynda A. - |Recommended: YesDecent property — Pros -The office staff is Professional, friendly and helpful. I like that the office is open 7 days a week so that if a problem arises on the weekend we can get a hold of somebody. -The maintenance staff is professional and quick to answer work order requests. - For as big as it is the property is pretty quiet aside from the basic noises that come with living in an apartment complex. - Package lockers are a great thing I don't have to worry about my packages being stolen. -The grounds are clean and the landscaping well kept up. -The lay out of the apartment is nice my bed room is spacious with out compromising the living area. - location is really nice close to shopping and dining as well as easy access to highway 14 and I-205. It is also close to a couple of parks and biking trails. Cons -If you don't pay 45.00 For a covered spot which I think is a steep price since you are not even guaranteed a place close to your apartment . Then you have to find an uncovered spot and sometimes that is hard especially later in the evening after 8 00 and especially on the weekends when people have non residents over there have been times I have had to park clear across the complex from my apartment. The management says they patrol the parking lot but I don't believe they do since there seems to be a lot of cars with out required parking tags - This complex has a front door trash service where they pick up your trash. I knew that when renting but I didn't realize how annoying it would be to not have a place to throw out bigger items that don't fit in a trash bag or not being able to put out your garbage on certain days because the garbage company doesn't come every single day. -Lots of dog owners who don't pick up after their dog and there are some outdoor cats which are not supposed to be allowed but this is also something that management doesn't really patrol. Things that don't bother me but may bother other people - there are a lot of kids in this complex and they like to ride bikes, scooters and skate boards all over the complex and they don't necessarily watch for cars or other pedestrians. Also they can be kind of noisy especially on nice days when they want to play outside until late in the evening and are vary rarely supervised when playing outside. - Gated community which has it's pros secure and cons always having to take a gate key with you when you have to to go the office or if you want to go for a walk but over all is not a huge deal to me either way. - No smoking of any kind in your apartments or on the property. So if you smoke you have to walk out to The front of the property to do so. -Getting out of the complex can be hard at certain times of the day due to the fact that we are on the corner of Ellsworth Road and McGillivary two roads that people tend to use a short cuts.

The leasing staff are absolutely wonderful They are professional but quick to handle whatever you need. I appreciate everything they have done for me The apartment seems to be pretty quiet which I'm very happy with. Having the trash valet is a blessing especially when I was unpacking.

submitted by Heather O. - |Recommended: YesNice area — Uncovered parking near your unit fills up quick leaving you walking quite far to your apartment some days. Many small pet owners don't pick up their dog waste which can be cumbersome for other pet owners having to dodge around other people's laziness. Appliances could definitely use upgrading but they are all in sound working condition. Excellent size and space for the price range. Beautiful large balconies. Loft 2 bedroom apartment is amazing. The office staff are extremely nice and prompt. Overall very happy with my unit and the area surrounding my aparment.
